Infant and primary years

How children learn and grow here

Our academic programme builds strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and cooperative play in the early years, then follows the National Standards Curriculum from Grades 1 through 6.

The curriculum

Foundational subjects across every grade

Language arts, mathematics, integrated science, and social studies form the core of each week. Infant classes emphasise reading readiness, number sense, and play-based discovery, while senior primary classes deepen reasoning, written expression, and independent study.

Each subject is taught with the National Standards Curriculum in mind, so children move steadily from one grade to the next with the skills they need.

Assessment path

From classroom checks to exit milestones

01

Classroom diagnostics

Teachers use regular classroom assessments to see where each child is strong and where extra support will help.

02

Targeted support

Children who need more practice receive focused help in literacy and numeracy, planned with their class teacher.

03

Senior primary preparation

Older pupils are guided step by step through practice work and revision ahead of the Primary Exit Profile.
